Visit Santo Domingo

A visit to the Dominican Republic is not complete without exploring the capital city of Santo Domingo.  Visit some of the most historical places of this rich colonial city including:  The Holy Cathedral Maria, The Museum of the Royal Houses, The Beacon dedicated to Christopher Columbus and more.

You will enjoy a typical Dominican lunch and and 45 minutes of free time in the heart of the old city where you can shop and explore on your own before your return.

On your way home you will also visit the famous caves Las Cuevas de La Maravilla.

This is a full day tour involving travelling 3 hours in each direction to and from Santo Domingo.  You should be prepared to walk over uneven surfaces through the cobblestone streets.

Please bring water and wear comfortable walking shoes as the tour of the colonial zone involves walking over cobble stone streets and uneven terrain in some places.  Also, shoulders and knees need to be covered to enter the Cathedral.  If you do not have appropriate attire a skirt or shall will be provided at the entrance of the Cathedral for you.
